Sarah's Death...

Moderators: Rob, Sam, Insanity

well, she wasn't the reason why i watch the show, but her character and what she brings is one of the reason why im so hooked with it...for some reason, when everything seems so dark for mike, and when the story becomes so heavy, i look forward to the MiSa scenes to kinda even it out and balance the story....Sara gives Mike a more "human" angle...without her, i sometimes feel as if he's some one dimensional guy - focused only on getting his brother out....when they introduced Dr. Sara's character, they humanized mike...he's no longer just the genius guy, he's also the guy who feels something for someone who he might hurt while executing his plans...it was a good story arc, and i do believe that i'm not the only one who appreciated that.

her death really pissed me off...FOX maintains that they tried everything to reach a deal but the bigger picture here was they were planning to kill her off anyway....the Mike/Sara relationship had a solid fan base...if the powers that be wanted a different direction for the show, is it too much to ask to at least leave the viewers some hope that at the end of the show, those two might end up together....they don't have to bring SWC back, but they could have an open-ended MiSa ending...that way, you don't really deviate from the direction you're heading, but you don't antagonize a huge fan following...

lastly, i felt sick after seeing the head of a "respected" and "loved" character[as nick santora put it]....abruzzi's death parallels that of a mob boss...tweener's killing was heartbreaking....haywire's jump has a certain nostalgia to it, and the music at the end was awesome...k-man's character was redeemed before he was killed...even kim's demise was well placed [rot in the bottom of the river! - or not as his body was not recovered :)]...but sara? the caring doctor who helped them escape, ruining her life in the process only got a nanosecond of chopped head exposure?

first season it was about cutting toes, 2nd season it was cutting hands, now its cutting heads...im scared to think what they will cut off next season if we go that far...

Ok, since I was one of those people who said that season 3 was a mistake: I actually doesn't mind the Sara killing that much since I'm not a big fan of neither her nor MiSa (my main reason for not liking it are the people who now will stop watching PB and therefore possibly leading to a ratings drop which is exactly what PB doesn't need at the moment). I said that season 3 was a mistake because it it stretching out the story and the original premise of the show. If PB ended after the 1st season, I would have been- well, happy isn't the right word, but glad that we had one awesome season. I didn't like season 2 that much and was (and still am) not sure how a 3rd season would work out. But I got very attached to the characters, especially Linc, LJ and Alex Mahone and I just wanna see them on my TV. That's why I continue watching. Plus I am one of those annoying people who like to bitch about the TV shows they watch.

well i agree too..
life goes on.. even the actors themselves said it, it's too bad, but that's tv, it isn't the end of the world..
sara's gone, i agree that's too bad, and it was a real twist in the storyline, more than we expected, but i don't agree that season 3 shouldn't have started. i love it! it keeps me on the edge of my seat, and every week i'm hungry for more..
yes it's too bad, but to boycot fox??? i don't agree with that.. this was a 2-waystreet decision.. not watching anymore, so fox' ratings go down....??? i mean i thought we were all adults here enjoying a tv-serie?? that's not an adult act.. IN MY OPINION.

anyway, i was a misa-shipper, but not like most of you.. when i watched misa, i was jealous and pictured myself (sara with my head, my lips kissing went). :P . so ....

Welldone Lesley good speech.
If Sarahs death caused ratings to drop, than thats because of people being selfish and practically not thanking Paul for making such an awesome TV SHOW!!!

If you want to thank him and remember Sarah... then keep watching, you willl soon get attached to another character.

I gotta say that if people plan to stop watching the show coz Sara died, they really didn't get the whole point of the show!
Ok, so it's wasn't the way the were going to play it out, sure, but they made the best of a pretty bad situation (and I'm talking about SWC now, coz after all I read she and SHE ALONE is to blame for this development)! I am a MiSa shipper, for those who don't know that, but COME ON! This show is so awsome on so many diferent levels, and I personaly think it would be a crime to leave it!
And you know what, at the risk of getting killed by many of you here: GET OVER IT! We all heard the news of her grim demise a long time ago, and had time to deal with it. I was shocked at first, and angry, and sad, but it's done. IMO it didn't hurt the show at all, coz if I wanted to watch a angsty love story I'd watch Smallville!
....and I do :D
now I'm switching to super-speed mode so you guys can't hurt me :p *swoooooosh*
One day I looked at the sky, a bird came and shit in my eye, I didn't laugh, I didn't cry, I was just happy the cows can't fly...

hahaha xD you're right there's MUCH MORE than only misa, and I'm glad that I already knew in august or september that she was leaving so I wasnt really surprised :).. The only thing where I DONT look forward to is michaels new love interest! but that won't stop watching me ^^, But I think I can understand why people dont watch it anymore, but thats their decision..

okay, i hear what you guys are saying, but is it selfish to stop watching a show just because you're not enjoying it anymore? it doesnt matter what the reason is, but there is no point in watching if you are not entertained. i will keep watching until i feel i cant recognise the characters anymore (*coughMike'snewloveinterstcough*) but i am not getting into a debate about how I feel, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

i personaly am not gonna stop watching the show, because i´m just too curious to see how michael is going to react when he finds out!
But i am very sad abouyt the way this all thing turned out to be, and fox wasn´t very kind with SWC, and i think that in the middle of all this, she could have delt with this, in other way.
But i undersatand her side, i mean, she also wanted to send a message to the misa fans, by not doing any scenes for "her death", i guess she wanted to say to the fans, that she totaly didn´t agreed with her character being killed off, or with the end of misa, that means something, she didn´t leave the show because she WANTED!
And the way the writers responded to that was by "simply" putting her head in a box!
And we the fans were cought in the middle of all this, and its just sad...

I totally agree you should stop watching the show if you don't enjoy it any more! I'm just saying your reasons for watching the show might have been wrong. This show is not about MiSa, it's not about love winning against all odds, it's about a road to justice, and fighting the system. It's bound to have casulties (sp??).
