Born in 1956 on Long Island, New York, USA, William started his career on "As the World Turns" (1956). After roles in Malcolm X (1992), Quiz Show (1994) and Strange Days (1995), his name got bigger. After doing a performance of a lifetime as "Kent" in Contact (1997), he is now a name for the big audience.

ok, IMO this dude is one of the most awsome actors I have ever had the privilege to watch! I've watched him in movies as well as TV shows, and his ability to transfom is AMAZING! He can make you laugh, cry, love him, HATE him, and his work with Alex Mahone in unbelieveble! I cannot believe he still hasn't recieved any awards for it!

Word, Nan!! Before he was in PB, I never knew much about him. He was 'oh, it's THAT guy'! Always memorable tho.

Ever since I saw him on PB i started recognizing him in more movies! Poor guy doesnt get that mauch recognition. He's really good.

I saw him in the film Ultraviolet the other night..
I was watching it with my brother and as soon as he came on i was like. ITS THE DUDE FROM PRISON BREAK!
